Glen Hansard Slots February Run

Glen Hansard returns to the U.S. for an intimate winter run of theatres. Launching the road trip in Birmingham, Ala., destinations for the Irish singer/songwriter/actor include New Orleans, Orlando, Cleveland and Milwaukee.

Hansard is one of the many artists on the Nov. 19 lineup for “I’ll Take You There – Celebrating 75 Years Of Mavis Staples.” His 2015 tour is expected to include selections from his latest release, Rhythm & Repose, as well as tunes from his work as one half of The Swell Season, lead singer of Irish band The Frame, and songs he wrote for the film “Once.”

Hansard will be accompanied by the Rhythm & Repose “wrecking crew” consisting of bassist Brad Albetta, keyboardist Thomas Bartlett, and Rob Moose on strings.
