One million guests visited the Danish arena since then

The Live Nation operated Royal Arena Copenhagen in Denmark has welcomed its one-millionth visitor 20 months since opening in February last year – with three sold-out Metallica concerts in week one.
The three shows grossed $4,557,416 in total according to Pollstar’s box office reports. Since then, everybody who is anybody in the world of live entertainment has taken the stage at the 16,500 capacity arena.
This year’s lineup included Depeche Mode ($1,700,397 at the box office), Kendrick Lamar ($1,470,874), The Killers ($645,015), Harry Styles ($971,088), Sam Smith ($919,146), Justin Timberlake ($3,348,992 across two shows), André Rieu ($1,043,813), and Iron Maiden ($1,394,931).
Royal Arena CEO Dan Hammer said, “The numbers speak for themselves. However, the credit should go to the extremely talented Danish organizers, who work hard each day to attract musical mega stars and major sporting events to Copenhagen and Royal Arena. Their efforts are world-class.

He added that this year’s Ice Hockey World Championship in May was “a unique, profitable experience for both the city and the arena, but such events do not come to Denmark by themselves. I am sure that the event will serve as a positive example of the fact that it pays to invest resources and finances in attracting experience-driven customers.”

According to Hammer, “one of the keys to our success is an extremely varied programme with many different music genres, traditional sports, e-sports, stand-up and amazing shows. I am particularly pleased that we have attracted highly coveted Danish names such as Nephew, Anden and Lukas Graham on the programme.”

He also thanked the 125 business that are member’s of the aren’s commercial network, called the Audi Club. “We are very grateful for the support of the business community. With the exception of a brand new exclusive partnership with just nine members, we have no more commercial VIP packages to offer for the next year,” said Hammer.
