Barry Brecheisen / Invision for Park City Live – Post Malone
Post Malone croons to the fans during Snow Fest at Park City Live in Utah Jan. 20.
There will be plenty of music at the annual Preakness Stakes. The second jewel in the famed “Triple Crown” of American horseracing also features the Budweiser InfieldFest, and this year Post Malone and Odesza will top the lineup.
Celebrating its 10th anniversary, the Preakness Budweiser InfieldFest pretty much tells you what you need to know – that the one-day music festival takes place on the infield at Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore, Md., on the day of the 143rd running of the famous race, which this year is May 19.
In addition to Post Malone and Odesza, the Preakness Budweiser InfieldFest will host 21 Savage,
The festival represents a partnership between The Stronach Group, owner of the Pimlico Race Course as well as the Preakness Stakes, and I.M.P., the company that owns and books the 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C., and operates Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Md., and the Lincoln Theatre in Washington, D.C.
“The Stronach Group is an entertainment company with world-class thoroughbred horseracing at its center,” said the company’s chairman and president, Belinda Stronach, in a statement. “The Budweiser InfieldFest and the incredible talent lineup for this year’s event reflects our company’s commitment to bringing the Preakness to life for a new generation of fans in a fun and relevant way.”
InfieldFest veterans can expect some changes when they return to Pimlico, including a mainstage with a view of the racetrack and will connect concert-goers with the race for the first time in the music event’s history. Concert-goers can also expect elevated food and beverage concessions, faster guest access and new betting lounges.
General admission tickets priced at $90 are available now and grant fans access to all main event areas. But you’ll need to move fast. The price goes up to $100 April 15 and $110 on race day.
