Tim McGraw Collapses On Stage At 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland

Tim McGraw had to leave the stage and couldn’t return after collapsing during his and Faith Hill’s final “Country 2 Country” performance at 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland, March 11.

McGraw had just performed “Humble and Kind,” when he reportedly “sat down near his keyboard player, then slumped to his knees as he walked off stage.”

A couple minutes later, his wife and touring partner Faith Hill came back on stage to assure the audience that “Tim is fine.” She added, “we’ve all been a little bit dehydrated traveling so much, and he’s been super dehydrated, and I apologize, but I made the decision that he cannot come back out on stage.”

The audience greeted the announcement with emphatic applause, and Hill performed an a-cappella version of “What Friend Do We Have In Jesus” as the concert’s premature closer. The couple’s publicist sent out a statement the same night: “Tim McGraw was suffering from dehydration in Dublin this evening at the C2C show. He was attended to by local medical staff on-site and will be fine. He and Faith thank everyone for their love and support and look forward to seeing their Irish fans again soon.”

Pictures of a healthy-looking McGraw have already appeared on UK boulevard media sites March 12.

C2C takes place over one weekend in London (England), Glasgow (Scotland) and Dublin. McGraw and Faith Hill also headlined the shows at London’s O2, March 9, and The SSE Hydro in Glasgow, March 10.

Headlining the other two nights were Kacey Musgraves and Little Big Town, with Kelsea Ballerini, Sugarland, Emmylou Harris, Margo Price, Old Dominion and more rounding out this year’s lineup. C2C 2018 attracted some 50,000 fans in total, making it a “hugely successful festival,” according to promoters SJM and AEG, who’ve already announced next year’s date, which is going to be Mach 8-10.

Tim McGraw and Faith Hill will have a little time off, before continuing their “Soul2Soul” tour in May, when it picks up at Richmond Coliseum in Richmond, VA. The tour placed the married duo on position 17 in Pollstar’s Year End Worldwide Tours of 2017, having grossed a reported total of $79,319,447 and moved a reported 931,959 tickets. That averages out to 13,314 tickets per market appearance. Pollstar took a closer look.

Speaking of country in the UK, AEG and SJM announced the second edition of Country Music Week for Oct. 21-28 in London. The first wave of acts has already been announced and included Kacey Musgraves at The SSE Arena, Wembley (Oct. 27), Grammy Award winner Darius Rucker at the Royal Albert Hall, with support from Russell Dickerson (Oct. 28), and Drake White at KOKO (Oct. 24). More shows are to be announced in the coming weeks.
