Lauren Daigle, Zach Williams Top Dove Awards Noms

Producer Wayne Haun, singer-songwriter Lauren Daigle and rock singer Zach Williams lead the nominees for the 2017 GMA Dove Awards honoring Christian and gospel music.

Accepting the Artist of the Year Award at 47th Annual GMA Dove Awards in Nashville.

 Artist of the year nominees are Chris Tomlin, For King & Country, Hillsong United, MercyMe and TobyMac. Daigle was last year’s artist of the year. 

Other categories include gospel artist of the year (CeCe Winans, Kirk Franklin, Tamela Mann, Tasha Cobbs, Travis Greene), new artist of the year (Bri, Micah Tyler, Social Club Misfits, Steven Malcolm, Zach Williams) and song of the year, which is between tracks by Zach Williams, Lauren Daigle, MercyMe, Ryan Stevenson, Skillet, Natalie Grant, Leeland and others. 

 The 48th Dove Awards take place Oct. 17 at Lipscomb University in Nashville and will air Oct. 22 on Trinity Broadcasting Network.
