Lukas Nelson & Promise Of The Real are ready to shine with Nikki Lane as these two acts are being featured in a tour sponsored by Stagecoach California’s Country Music Festival.
John Davisson – Lukas Nelson & Promise Of The Real
Lukas Nelson & Promise Of The Real keep the energy high during the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival at Great Stage Park in Manchester, Tenn., June 10.
The two acts are teaming up for a run that starts in Chicago Nov. 11 and continues through the Midwest, Northeast and South, wrapping up in Rutland, Vt., on Nov. 19.
Presales start Aug. 3 and the general onsale begins the following day, Aug. 4.
Last year’s Stagecoach Spotlight Tour highlighted Old Dominion, after the band wowed the crowd at Stagecoach in 2016. Nikki Lane played the festival this year, and Lukas Nelson played the Indio, Calif., festival in 2011 according to our records.
Now Nelson’s music seems to have reached the right ears, because the talent buyer for the tour was all compliments in a press release.
“We have seen some incredible strides by Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real over the past year and this new record seems to be something truly special. We have been discussing doing something together for a long time and we have decided now is the time,” Stacy Vee of Stagecoach said. “We also decided our work with Nikki Lane was far from done so we asked her to come along. This tour will be one for the storybooks!”
The album she is referencing is a new, self-titled project due out Aug. 25, with features from the likes of Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson and Waylon Jennings.
Nikki Lane also released a new album, Highway Queen, in February.
Lukas Nelson & Promise Of The Real is in Chico, Calif., tonight with Nicki Bluhm. The group has headline dates and festival appearances booked throughout the remainder of summer.
Nikki Lane’s next play is also tonight, in Alexandria, Va., with Steelism. She also has headline gigs and festivals planned for the coming months.
In addition to this tour, the Stagecoach Spotlight Series is shining a light on acts like Turnpike Troubadours with Charley Crockett, The Avett Brothers, The Magpie Salute, Sturgill Simpson with Fantastic Negrito, and many more in Los Angeles in the coming months.
