Jack’s Mannequin Announces Reunion Tour

Since saying farewell to Jack’s Mannequin, McMahon has focused on his solo career, wrote songs for the NBC TV series “Smash,” and became a father.

McMahon has also continued to work with his Dear Jack Foundation, which “advocates for and supports initiatives that directly benefit adolescents and young adults (AYA) diagnosed with cancer.” He founded the organization after being diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia. As of August, McMahon is officially 10 years cancer free.

In 2014 he released his debut solo album, Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness.

But of course McMahon hasn’t forgotten about the importance of Jack’s Mannequin. The upcoming tour celebrates the 10^th anniversary of the band’s debut album, Everything In Transit.

“I will be the first to admit, I prefer keeping my focus in the present, but I cannot deny Transit’s place in my life and the lives of my fans,” McMahon writes. “Even as I announce these shows I know there will be disappointment over the fact this will not be a full tour. To those of you in markets we are not playing, please know we picked the routing that allowed us to play the most shows in the short time that was available. As I said so many years ago, this is a story, and it will be performed as such, in its original running order from start to finish. The band and I are truly excited by the opportunity to revisit this album and we hope to see you there.”

McMahon will be joined by Bobby “Raw” Anderson, Jay McMillan and Mikey “The Kid” Wagner, along with Zac Clark guesting on keys.

Presale tickets are available now. The general onsale for D.C. begins Dec. 3 at 10 a.m. EST. The rest of the dates go on sale to the general public Dec. 4 at 10 a.m. local time.
