Jenny Lewis Marks Anniversary Of ‘Rabbit Fur Coat’

Jenny Lewis has booked three special shows in early 2016 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of her debut solo album, Rabbit Fur Coat, featuring The Watson Twins. The alt-country duo, made up of identical twin sisters Chandra and Leigh Watson, will be joining Lewis on the road.

Lewis released Rabbit Fur Coat in between Rilo Kiley albums – 2004’s More Adventurous and 2007’s Under the Blacklight. NPR “All Songs Considered” listeners named the LP one of the 10 best albums of 2006.

As part of the anniversary celebration, Lewis is releasing a limited remastered vinyl edition of Rabbit Fur Coat via her label, Loves Way. Shipping Jan. 29, the version features all-new gatefold packaging, red vinyl, a download code and never-before-seen photos by Autumn de Wilde.

Here’s the plan for the brief outing, which includes special guest M. Ward:

Jan. 29 – Los Angeles, Calif., Immanuel Presbyterian
Feb. 3 – New York, N.Y., Beacon Theatre
Feb. 6 – Nashville, Tenn., Ryman Auditorium

Presales are ongoing now. General onsales begin Friday, Sept. 25 for Los Angeles and New York. Tickets for Nashville go on sale to the general public Saturday.
