Braxton Finally Makes Australasian Debut

Blackout Music Management announced Toni Braxton makes her Australian debut with four theatre dates Sept. 9-14.

Braxton also makes her first appearance in New Zealand with a Sept. 17 stop at the  in Auckland.

In other tour news, Australia was the first country to connect with Mumford and Sons. The frequent tourists return to play their largest venues yet, with Secret Sounds & Gentlemen Of The Road slotting them in for three open air shows. They’re at the , Brisbane (Nov. 7) with The Vaccines and Meg Mac, and , Melbourne, Nov. 12 with Future Islands and The Vaccines opening.

The Sydney  stop (Nov. 14) is the Mumfords’ curated Gentlemen Of The Road all-day event, with Jake Bugg, Future Islands, The Vaccines, Meg Mac and Australian bands The Jungle Giants and Art of Sleeping.

Live Nation and Niche team up for four arena appearances by Wiz Khalifa Sept. 25 to Oct. 2.

Chicago’s Rise Against, which was in the country opening for Foo Fighters February/March, return in December. Frontier Touring has them at four shows Dec. 2-8.

Robbie Williams’ Let Me Entertain You Tour in October continues to be a major drawcard for Chugg Entertainment.

With second shows added to most cities, a third date was announced for Melbourne’s  Oct. 24, bringing the total of the Australian and New Zealand run to 12.

’s 50th anniversary celebrations takes in seven theatres and three festivals Oct. 22 to Nov. 1 for Metropolis Touring.
