The management companies may still be answering their phones under their individual monikers, but it is understood they will eventually all be known simply as Maverick, having announced the merger Oct. 17.
Those companies are Spalding Entertainment, Blueprint Group, Reign Deer Entertainment, I Am Other, Quest Management and Laffitte Management. Laffitte and Oseary already co-manage Alicia Keys. Laffitte, Oseary and Reign Deer – run by Larry Rudolph – are already working from Artist Nation’s headquarters in Los Angeles and are going by Maverick, which has a website under construction.
Each company’s artist roster is impressive. Clarence Spalding’s company manages Jason Aldean, Rascal Flatts, and Kix Brooks, among others. Blueprint’s roster includes Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne.
Under Laffitte’s roof are Pharrell Williams, Soundgarden, Megadeth and OneRepublic.
Rudolph’s company is home to Avril Lavigne, Britney Spears, Miley Cyrus, will.i.am and Nicole Scherzinger. Quest Management shepherds Arcade Fire, Lykke Li, Paul McCartney, and Klaxons, among others.
The full Maverick roster was not available at press time.
Together, Maverick has nine founding partners that will all will report to Live Nation CEO Michael Rapino.
Staffing is not expected to be trimmed. Maverick is touted as a company that will promote technological advances and emphasize live performances.
It will also include the strength of Oseary’s A-Grade Investments, a tech fund that he founded with Ron Burkle and Ashton Kutcher that has more than 20 companies in its portfolio. Artist Nation has more than 250 artists in its management roster.
