Werchter’s Record Sellout

This year’s sold-out Rock Werchter will be the biggest in the Belgian festival’s history, as the capacity has increased by 2,500 to 87,500.

Live Nation Belgium chief Herman Schueremans told Pollstar at this year’s ILMC the full festival passes had already sold out and there were only “a handful” of day tickets left.

Schueremans later picked up the conference’s Arthur award for “the promoter’s promoter.”

A week before the festival, Schueremans has The Rolling Stones on the Werchter festival site.

The Rock Werchter lineup (July 3-6) includes Metallica, Kings Of Leon, Arctic Monkeys, Pearl Jam, Placebo, and The Black Keys.
