Rock The Bells is coming up soon, kicking off
The other acts added to the lineup include Joey Bada$$ with Pro Era (all markets), Trinidad James (Devore and Mountain View) and The Internet (all markets). The A$AP Mob and Young Dirty Bastard will appear at all four stops.
The previously announced roster features Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Jurassic 5, Kid Cudi, Common, Talib Kweli, Girl Talk, J. Cole, Chief Keef, Big Sean, Big Daddy Kane, A-Trak, Supernatural, Wale and Wu-Tang Clan.
Guerilla Union president and Rock The Bells founder Chang Weisberg has an update to tell fans about the virtual performances of Eazy-E of NWA and Ol’ Dirty Bastard of W-Tang Clan.
“Despite initial reports of problems with rights clearances, I’m very pleased to announce that the estates are both 100% on board,” Weisberg said. “Furthermore, not only are the families on board with the virtual performances, they are actually participating with the creation of them. This ensures the authenticity and integrity of the performances. It’s a monumental moment for music and technology that Eazy’s and ODB’s children have lent their DNA to these historic performances. Their bodies, faces, and voices have been captured to help recreate their fathers’ avatars. The process has been extremely rewarding to say the least. Seeing family members honoring their fathers in such a unique way has been incredible to witness. Watching Tomica Wright [Eazy-E’s widow] share her most intimate perspective to make sure every detail is authentic and accurate has been a blessing. I almost cried watching Young Dirty Bastard channeling his father’s uncanny stage charisma. It was pure magic. I cannot wait for the family members to see all their hard work. It will truly be historic.”
And there’s more festival news! Single-day tickets are now available.
