The pair will get things rolling in Portland, Ore., Oct. 3, then head east to wrap with a two-night stand in Washington, D.C., Oct. 25-26.
Will they play Apple’s latest album, The Idler Wheel…, in its entireity? Or perhaps duet on Mill’s “Hey Lover,” and close with “Criminal”? Nobody knows and Apple and Mills apparently want to keep it that way.
“We know it’ll be something special, and we aren’t being coy here – it’s just that we have about 13% of an idea of what the fuck we will be playing for you,” they said in a statement, noting, “the uncertainty excites us.”
The outing will feature songs from their respective catalogues plus some yet-to-be released material, the statement added.
Apple and Mills have already logged plenty of time on the road together; Mills served as both opening act and guitarist throughout “The Idler Wheel…” tour.
