This time around it’s Bela with the original Flecktones – Howard Levy (piano/harmonica), Victor Wooten (bass), and Roy “Futureman” Wooten (percussion/Drumitar). While most of the schedule has been public for quite a while, now you can gaze upon those dates, cities, states and venues knowing it’s the final version.
The journey begins in Madison, Wis., at the Union Theatre March 1. If that’s too cold a climate for you then you might want to check out the tour when it plays West Coast locales such as California’s Carmel-By-The-Sea at the Sunset Center Theater March 6; San Francisco’s Warfield March 8 or Los Angeles at the Orpheum March 9. The two-month expedition wraps in Louisville, Ky., at W.L. Lyons Brown Theatre April 28.
Meanwhile, Bela Fleck & The Flecktones are up for a Grammy for best instrumental composition for “Life In Eleven” from their 2011 album Rocket Science.
