Scott will perform classic favorites on the tour as well as tunes from her upcoming fourth studio album. The Light of the Sun is set for release June 21 on Warner Bros. Records.
The R&B/soul singer-songwriter is bringing along a bunch of special guests on the road including Anthony Hamilton and Mint Condition. Doug E. Fresh is hosting the party and DJ Jazzy Jeff will help out with the music.
Cities and dates have been announced for the trek but venues have not been revealed yet.
Scott’s Summer Block Party, which is presented by Budweiser Superfest and produced by Live Nation / Haymon Ventures, kicks off July 28 in New York. Dates are on the books through an Aug. 28 gig in Houston.
Additional stops include Detroit (July 30); Chicago (July 31); Cleveland (Aug. 3); St. Louis (Aug. 4); Philadelphia (Aug. 6); Washington, D.C. (Aug. 7); Los Angeles (Aug. 10); Oakland, Calif. (Aug. 14); Memphis (Aug. 17); Atlanta (Aug. 19); Virginia Beach, Va. (Aug. 21); Raleigh, N.C. (Aug. 23); Charlotte, N.C. (Aug. 24); and Dallas (Aug. 27).
