Stewart, Nicks Nix Opener
The “Heart & Soul” tour featuring co-headliners Rod Stewart and Stevie Nicks was supposed to open March 20 in Sunrise, Fla., at the BankAtlantic Center. Evidently a nasty virus had other ideas and the show was canceled after Stewart came down with the flu, according to a note posted on the venue’s website. Refunds will be available at points of purchase.
The next Stewart/Nicks date on the books is March 23 at the St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa.
No Klaxons For You
Citing “unforeseen circumstances,” the Brit indie band has canceled its upcoming North America tour.
The Klaxons were returning to the road March 25 in Orlando, Fla., on a one-month outing that included performing at Miami’s Ultra Music Festival March 26 and Southern California’s Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival April 15.
Other dates moved to the “canceled” folder include Boston’s Paradise Rock Club March 28; New York’s Webster Hall March 29; Baltimore’s Ottobar (March 30), Chicago’s Metro (April 2) and Salt Lake City’s Urban Lounge April 6.
Meanwhile, the band is handing out downloads of an exclusive song not available anywhere else. However, in order to download the freebie you need to prove you purchased tickets for the now-canceled tour by e-mailing ticket scans or purchase confirmations to [email protected].
