Ford has teamed with media delivery portal True View Live to offer his April 30 show at Murray State University in Murray, Ky., as a live, high-definition stream.
And the cost of this technological marvel? A mere $9.95. Go ahead. Try seeing a show by a rising star like Ford for less than $10. You’ll pay that much for a beer.
The concert will be accessible via the singer’s official Web site and his social media sites, including Face Book, MySpace and iLike.
Fans who want to experience the show, need to purchase an advance virtual ticket at TrueViewLive.com, which will get them a login credential granting them access on the day of the show.
Still not convinced? How about this? Fans who buy an advance ticket will also receive a $10 Colt Ford merchandise coupon that can be redeemed at ColtFord.com. So that means the singer will actually be paying them to watch the live, high-def performance. (Okay, so it’s only a nickel, but still…)
“Colt has some of the best fans in the world,” Ken Madson, CEO of Ford’s management said. “True View Live allows Colt fans everywhere to check out the Colt Ford Experience.”
(Speaking of nice guys: Hey Colt, if you’re reading this, a big “THANK YOU” to your team from the entire Pollstar team for the chicken and biscuits last week!)
Complete details on the April 30 show are available at TrueViewLive.com or ColtFord.com.
