The first thing we saw when we walked through the front door this morning was an update for Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings listing new dates for December – The 2nd in Minneapolis at the Pantages Theatre; the 3rd in Madison, Wisconsin, at Barrymore Theatre and the 6th in Bloomington, Indiana, at Jake’s.
But no sooner had we eyeballed the Sharon Jones update, we noticed we had also received new dates for Styx – December 31 in Tempe, Arizona, at Fiesta Bowl Block Party; January 24 in Merrillville, Indiana, at Star Plaza Theatre; February 6 in Grand Ronde, Oregon, at Spirit Mountain Casino; February 11 in W. Hollywood at House Of Blues; February 13 in Anaheim at House Of Blues and October 9 in Biloxi, Mississippi, at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Biloxi.
After reading the Styx itinerary cover-to-cover, a courier pulled up to our front gates with a REO Speedwagon update. Of course, Styx and REO have done plenty of co-dates, but we rarely see both bands update their own separate schedules at the same time. Anyhooo … New REO dates include January 21 in Verona, New York, at Turning Stone Resort & Casino; April 3 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, at American Music Theatre; April 4 in Atlantic City at House Of Blues; April 24 in Orlando at Hard Rock Cafe / Hard Rock Live and April 25 in Clearwater, Florida, at Ruth Eckerd Hall.
And just after we finished updating REO Speedwagon, we received a couple of new dates for Michael Stanley & The Resonators – December 26 & 27 in Cleveland at House Of Blues.
Of course, we also updated other artists – Rosie Ledet, Sparky’s Flaw, Michael Tolcher, Lonnie Brooks, J. Paul Jr. & The Zydeco Nu Breeds, Inhale, Johnny Winter, Black Ships and Waiting 4 Wyatt, to drop a few names.
And that brings us to the end of this update message. We’ll have more fresh concert information in your Midday Update, posting around 12 noon (PDT).
