The party kicks off November 6 at Eighteenth Street Lounge in Washington, D.C., and winds its way across the States with a couple of Canadian stops thrown in for good measure, before wrapping November 26 at Nectar Lounge in Seattle.
Along the way the band will get folks dancing in places like Mercury Lounge in New York City (November 8), Subterranean in Chicago (November 14), The Loft in La Jolla, Calif. (November 20), and Garibaldi Lift Company in Whistler, British Columbia (November 24).
People, which was released last month, features Kraak & Smaak at its funky best with banjo twang, disco suave synths, hints of string orchestra, gypsy-tinged clarinet all over a soulful broken beat on tracks like “That’s My World,” “Bobby & Whitney,” and first single, “Squeeze Me.”
