G. Love – one of the funkiest surfers in the world – and his band will be releasing their 10th album, Superhero Brother, June 24th and will tour the sheds beginning July 31, with Australian phenoms John Butler Trio and Tristan Prettyman in support.
G. Love & Special Sauce got a spike from touring with Slightly Stoopid last summer, according to the band, and has seen a resurgence in the last five years with an increase in album sales and radio spins.
Cities on the schedule include Columbus, Atlanta, San Francisco and hometown Philly, along with visits to Lollapalooza and Madison Roots Festival. Actually, G. Love & Special Sauce are spanning the globe through September, where they will join The Black Crowes on some gigs.
Tickets for many shows are available at Ticketmaster.com.
G. Love and the John Butler Trio also plan on working with iTunes; Fans who purchase summer tour tickets through online outlets receive a free digital EP of live tour highlights.
